A different start

So far things have been a little bit different than our first few days in Mpigi....

1. I (Jeff) have been sick, nothing serious, probably a flu I brought with me!
2. Avin is covered in some itchy rash, she must have played in the wrong bush!
3. The weather has been cold, for Uganda, but when we first arrived in Mpigi it was soooo Hot!
4. Shannon saw a Black Mamba, just a baby one, but they figure the Big Mama is close by!!!!

Back in Uganda

We just wanted to let you all know that we have safely arrived to our new home in Kibaale, Uganda. The flights were both good, the kids slept thru most of them and loved getting outside in London!!

We're looking forward to an exciting couple of weeks, meeting everyone, getting acquainted with the property, and settling into our new home. We'll post some pictures soon!!

Thank you for all your prayers!!!

Looking Ahead

This week is bittersweet for our family, its Joel’s last week of school, his last soccer game on Saturday, Jeff’s last day of work is today, and we are having to saying goodbye to all of our family and friends! We are going to miss everyone so much, we feel so supported as we leave though, and truly blessed to have people at home caring, loving and praying for us!!!

There are a few things we are excited about now as we look ahead too!! The kids are pretty excited about the 2 long plane rides, as well a run through London during our layover! They are very excited to see all their friends in Mpigi next week, they have really missed them! We’re also looking forward to showing them Kibaale, settling into our new home, as well meeting everyone at the school who we will be working and living alongside!!!!
