See You, Kibaale!

It was hard to say goodbye to our home of 3 years this week, Kibaale will always have a very special place in our hearts. 

It's not just because of the amazing programs that go on there, although we're very proud of those, not because of the adorable 900 students running around the school compound every day, although seeing their smiles makes our day, but because of the staff that make it all happen! The staff in Kibaale work so hard, they truly love all these children, they love this community, and they work together as a team which is why it works so well!! We were very fortunate to work with such a great group of people, who we will miss SO much!!

On our last day we had the opportunity to go to our good friend Vincent's family home, to meet his parents, sister, and to see where he grew up. Vincent started at the Kibaale Community Centre when he was a young boy and is now a leader in the Community Services office, he is a true testament of the centre!! His family was amazing, there was such joy in their home!

A few tearful goodbye's with some of our good friends, we look forward to the day we can see them all again!
