Out of the village

We try to get into Kampala for a break from the village every month, sometimes it's a little less and sometimes it's a little more. We just realized that Joel and Mazzy had been in Kibaale for SEVEN weeks!! That's a bit long!!

Much needed haircuts for the boys!

We told Avin when she turned 7 she could get her ears pierced, although a little nervous just before she was very brave, and loves her new look!!

The kids love doing things more like they would at home for a few hours; ice cream, movies, restaurants and play areas!!! We're always very happy to get back home though!! We did some grocery shopping for a team of 18 people that are coming this weekend, it should be fun!!!

Fun in Kampala

We went to Kampala on Sunday, we will go once a month to stock up on groceries mostly. I think it will be busy when we go, getting everything we've put on our lists from the month before!! As well, its a long drive for our kids (4 hours if driving straight thru) so we were really happy to have found a great restaurant for them to just be kids at!

It is a steak restaurant, with a big menu, especially for Uganda. The kids ordered pizza, and were very happy with that, the best part though was the play area! Two trampolines, 5 playstation stations, and even a mini movie theater! After we got over the culture shock of where we were, the kids played for hours!!
