A Day In Kibaale

Yesterday our family spent the whole day in Kibaale. It was nice to all be there together, especially with school back on, we love all the activity around the centre!

I (Shan) am now working along with Megan in the KCF (sponsorship) office, so we were getting in some final training from Jamie! We did some data entry, organized letters to be sent home and mailed out to sponsors, hung out with a class of students writing their term letters and even got to give out a few special gifts, it was a full day!!! Megan and I will be able to do a lot of the computer work from our homes which is great, since I will still be homeschooling the kids everyday! We are both looking forward to getting out to Kibaale more often though, to get to know the staff in the KCF office better and of course the students, which there are over 700 of, wow!!!

We also all had time to visit with our friends, who we definitely miss, I especially enjoyed meeting the newest arrival, Mugabi and Margaret's beautiful baby girl!!!

Jeff is checking out the site for the new student dining hall. We've been waiting for this for a while now and are so thankful that because of money donated during the Kibaale Walk and even donations from our students in Kibaale, there is now enough money to start building!!

It was also a bit of a sad day for us, as we spent our last day in Kibaale with Sean and Jamie, and were able to attend a going away party for them after work. We will be taking them to the airport next week to say goodbye, I am not looking forward to that!!!
