A few things we'll never take for granted

Of course there are some very important things in our lives that we’ve learned not to take for granted here, like family and friends nearby and our health.

Here are a few little things we’ll appreciate even more at home now too!

Hot water
Electricity
Sidewalks
Cell phone network
High speed internet
Grocery stores less than 4 hours away
Drip coffee
Fresh milk
Nacho chips
The beach
Sunday school in English
Drinking water from a tap

Greetings to the lovely Dyck family!

I just happened upon your amazing blog and just had to write in and say hello and give my support.

I work for survivorcorps and wanted to let you know about a great event that's about to take place (which maybe you know about!). It's called the GuluWalk - it's an event that in the past has raised millions of dollars for critical children's programs in northern Uganda.

Anyway, I'm sure you know that it will be happening in Gulu and so many other cities worldwide (here's a list): http://www.wherewillyouwalk.com/#city

Anyway, when I walk this year, I'll think about your wonderful family and all that you're doing!

Take care and happy belated birthday to beautiful Mazzy!

Take care,
Lauren
