Bring Your Kids To Uganda!

4 families with their 11 children just spent the last 3 weeks in Uganda with us, it was so much fun for our whole family to have them here, serving alongside us in Kibaale.

Todd and Carmelita Currie were in a small group with us back before they had any children and still lived in BC. Although it's been 13 years since we have seen them, they moved to Alberta after their oldest daughter was 6 months old and then we moved to Uganda, we have kept in touch over the years and seeing them again was like no time had passed! We have loved reconnecting more lately as they planned this trip with 3 other families, who are also in small groups with them.

It was great seeing them meet their sponsor child Prossy for the first time!

Also, bring your buff to Uganda! Survivor was a fun theme for the kids, they built a shelter in our backyard, hid immunity idols and came up with their own challenges. Hours and hours of fun!!

Thank you team for the donation to mud a house, we were able to bless one of our community families with a new home!

It's actually pretty hard work but also a lot of fun.

Paint the wall boys, not yourselves!!

Sports day with our nursery school, always a favourite day for our students and staff.

We were able to join our Kibaale school on their own Outreach day to visit a nearby prison. We gave out food, drinks, soap, toothbrushes, and the Kibaale students sang worship songs and performed a skit on Joseph and his Coat of Many Colours.

Crafts with our daycare, they loved all the extra attention they got while the team was here.

So many babies!!!

Climbing trees for the best view of the volleyball game.

Uganda. Wins. Every. Time.

Avin and Sophia are only 1 month apart and played together as babies but hadn't seen each other since they were 6 months old. They started texting a bit before they arrived here, but were quick friends as soon as they saw each other. There were a few tears when they had to say goodbye, Avin has already asked when she can spend a summer in Medicine Hat:)

The older kids helped out during centres in the nursery school.

Bike Clinic! More bikes than the Dad's on the team could possibly fix showed up for repairs, but they did manage to fix around 115 of them!

Three of the ladies that came were nurses, they helped out in our clinic and donated medications to do 2 mobile clinics in nearby villages where they saw over 300 patients! They were very busy but it was such a blessing to our community.

Twin boys!

Sweetest baby girl at baby immunizations in one of the nearby villages.

The team arrived at a perfect time to help us give maize flour out to every student in Kibaale, we loved seeing all of these happy kids going home with food!!

You can continue to give towards the famine in Rakai, we would love to raise $20,000 by Christmas, it costs $30 per bag of maize flour so that will give food to 667 more families in our community! Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, this is the worst drought Rakai has seen in 25 years, your help at this difficult time is so appreciated!!

Ostrich Farm! The male ostrich that we can sit on was in a pretty good mood so everybody got a turn, even the littlest kids!

The favourite form of transportation for every kid that comes to visit!

The Boulton kids were given donations by their classes at home, so fun to be able to deliver these themselves!
